At House of God’s Love, we value your interest and support and we are committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of this statement is to share with you our policy concerning your privacy.
What information do we collect and how do we use it?
When visitors use our site we collect some basic information which we then use to improve our site and make it as user-friendly as possible. The information does not identify you, but does allow us to track activity on the site such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, and similar non-identifying information.
We only collect information that personally identifies you when you voluntarily submit such information. For example, we collect your name and email address if you make an information request or other communication via the ‘contact us’ form. You may ‘opt out’ of us retaining or using this information beyond its initial intent. See ‘Ability to Opt-out’, below.
When you make a donation online, we ask for your name, address, daytime phone, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use your information to process your donation(s) and to verify credit card data. We will use your postal or email address to send your tax-deductible receipt(s) as well as to keep you informed about important news about House of God’s Love and, if a special need arises, to make occasional requests for additional donations. It is your choice to act on any donation requests or not.
If you do not wish to supply personal information online, you will be unable to use the site to make donations and online information requests. However, please see below for alternatives.
Note: House of God’s Love will not knowingly collect any personal information from a child without the consent of the child’s parent(s). Children under the age of 13 should obtain parental consent before making any donations.
Making anonymous donations or information request
If you wish to make anonymous donations or information requests we invite you to do this via phone, FAX or through the mail.
You can send anonymous donations simply by sending a money order to us at the address found at the bottom of this privacy policy. Note: if you do not provide your name and address we will be unable to send you a tax-deductible receipt.
Do we share your information?
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifying information to others. We use one or more third-party financial institution/s to process our credit card transactions. They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our donors only to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment.
Ability to Opt-out.
You may restrict our internal use of your personal information. You may request that we do not contact you after responding to your initial donation or request for information. If you contact us with an opt-out request, all reasonable efforts will be taken to ensure this request is honored immediately. You may contact us at any time to opt-out, however, opting out of contact means we will be unable to provide information related to your donation activity, such as the status of a particular child sponsored, or when a new home or educational program is underway.
The use of cookies
House of God’s Love may use cookies to track the number of users who come to our site for special-occasion gift-giving campaigns. This information is used to determine how effective the campaign was and not to identify an individual user. We may also choose to employ cookies at other times to evaluate the ease of our donation process and to make it as customer friendly and easy-to-use as possible.
How do we provide a secure environment for on-line transactions?
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology for our online order processing system. This protects your information as it travels through the system and allows you to make safe donations.
A third party, Authorize.net handles our online credit card verification system and will collect your name, address, phone, and credit card number and expiration date in order to process your transaction. Their state-of-the-art firewall, encryption technology and other security measures offer an extremely high level of confidentiality and security for each transaction.

If you would like to review the personal information House of God’s Love holds about you or to request corrections, or to be deleted from our database, please contact us at the address below.
If you prefer not to receive any mail or e-mail correspondence from us, please indicate this by contacting tinatruong3@yahoo.com and include your full name, address, phone number, and e-mail address so we can be sure to delete all information related to you from our database.

House of God’s Love has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and keep yourself aware of any modifications We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
